New Board of Directors

Kari Stenersen has been elected new Chairman of the Board for Genetic Analysis AS, after Svein Lien had to focus his attention as CEO of Biotech Pharmacon. Kari was Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales, Axis –Shield for 12 years, built up the sales volume in the company from under NOK 1 mill to over NOK 1 billion today. Previously, Kari worked as Marketing Director and Managing Director of Pronova and HydroPharma, Division Director in Pronova and as Country Manager for SmithKline & French (today GlaxoSmithKline) and marketing director for various pharmaceutical companies in Norway.

In addition, Stein Lorentzen-Lund was also elected as Board member. Stein has 25 years experience from international pharma industry. He is  currently CEO of The Nansen Neuroscience Network – a member organization connecting brain science and industry promoting innovation and collaboration within neuroscience. Previously, Stein has been CEO of several biotech startup companies, worked as Product and Marketing Director for Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi Aventis, and was also Director of Business Development at PhotoCure , and was part of the team taking the company to the Oslo Stock exchange.

In addition, Dag Terje Rian and Rune Sørum from Norsk Innovasjonskapital and Knut Rudi, inventor of the GA-map™ platform continues to be part of the Board of Genetic Analysis.

Genetic Analysis AS offers a unique, proprietary technology for profiling the gut microbiota, and correlating various bacterial profiles to different health conditions. The company was established in 2008, and started operations in 2009. The company is currently located at the BioIncubator located at the vicinity of The Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Ås, just outside Oslo, Norway.
