Moving to new premises
From 1st August, Genetic Analysis AS is located in new premises as part of GE HealthCare’s facilities at Storo-Nydalen area of Oslo. The new lab will include a complete pipeline of equipment to carry out a high throughput analysis of the gut microbiota, utilizing the proprietary GA-map™ technology platform. Instead of being situated at different locations, as has been the case up until now, the move to the new premises will combine all the personnel and equipment in one place. This move also paves the way for processing a high number of fecal samples on a daily basis, as the company prepares to launch various products and services in the near future. The number of staff has also expanded, resulting in accelerated development and capacity to process more samples rapidly.
The Storo-Nydalen area of Oslo is a vibrant and expanding business community, and encompasses many life science companies in various stages of development. In addition, The University of Oslo and leading hospitals are short distances away from this area. The move thus also helps Genetic Analysis to have closer collaboration with several of these companies and institutions.
It is great to be able for all of us to be together in one place, and have a highly skilled, competent and motivated team in place. With this move, combined with a new Board and access to funding, we are ready to move forward and maximize the potential in our GA-map™ technology”, comments Dr. Morten Isaksen, CEO of Genetic Analysis.
